Krista & Clayton | North Carolina

Krista and Clayton took their devoted vows amidst lush greenery and rolling hills at the rustic Adaumont Farm Wedding Venue. It was a memorable and meaningful celebration of love set against nature’s serene backdrop complete with goats and mini horses.

On this lovely day, the couple surrounded themselves with special people. Close friends and family flocked to this farm wedding to celebrate Krista and Clayton’s ceremony. Excellent company, incredible hosts, great conversations, and awesome food were abundant.

Clay Shooting with Clayton on the Farm

Before the ceremony, the guys did some clay target shooting at the farm. Also, Clayton’s buddies and dad showcased their grilling talents and made flavorful steaks. It was a treat to see the guys bonding over sports, beer, and delicious grilled food.

As the wedding drew near, Clayton prepared by getting into his suit, looking all dapper and spruced up.

Wedding Day Letters of Love

The couple exchanged letters before the ceremony. Krista gave Clayton a touching letter expressing her appreciation and love as their relationship heads to the next level.

After Krista finished getting ready, she shared an emotional, heartfelt moment with her father during their first look. As a special present, she gave him a piece of sheet music of Amazing Grace with an endearing letter on the back.

A Pond-Side Farm Wedding

Krista looked glowing and so beautiful. Her wedding dress was accessorized with an elegant silver headpiece with floral accents.

The wedding ceremony took place in a green field near a tranquil pond within the farm.  Beautiful outdoor seating arrangements against a background of the lake, coupled with cute signage, were so insta-worthy.

Unique memory photos of family members who passed away served as a memorial at the front row of the ceremony. They were kept as reminders of how the couple will continue to share life as a generation of families.

It was such a picturesque sight as we flew the wedding drone over the ceremony. The images perfectly captured the enchanting glide of the bride and bridesmaids when they came down the grassy aisle.

Sunset Wedding Photos are the Best

The ceremony was held shortly before sunset, which allowed for flickering lanterns and blazing sunset shots. Capturing a dipping sun with a wedding couple perfectly placed in front makes for stunning imagery.

Krista did a “first look” of her second dress to surprise Clayton. His stunned look told it all, and she knew she got him good.

Stephen Thrift posed the couple at the farm’s entryway. The lanterns illuminated sweet kisses, showing to the world their genuine affection for one another. They are on the path of commitment, of a union, of forging bonds and uniting families.

As the day wore on, everyone eagerly awaited the reception. The reception was held in the rustic-looking main barn at the Adaumont Farm wedding venue.

A Regal Barn Reception

The reception room is richly-styled with green and gold reception décor. The barn also includes elaborate chandeliers that hung underneath sheer ceiling curtains. Vintage glassware, substantial wooden tables, and wooden circle place cards filled the reception space. Natalie, with Belles & Beaus Planning, created a beautiful, hassle-free occasion to remember.

The wedding caterer, Peppermoon, was simply incredible. They were hands-on in helping with the event and serving food that the guests loved.

Beverly’s of Midway, the wedding florist, created beautiful flower arrangements. The fresh, white, and creamy flowers simply made a significant impact on the mood and style of the wedding reception. There was a fun photo booth that was set up as well to capture hilarious candid moments.

Of course, there’s the cake by Sinfully Delicious! The “Naked” wedding cake’s “exposed” look is a treat for both the eyes and mouth.

There’s also a wooden Mr. and Mrs. sign behind the head table and in front of the cake to add further custom touches.

Let’s not forget the massive heap of sweet goodness at the wedding candy station. The candy table was a visual feast for the eyes, especially those who have a sweet tooth! All the candy came from one of our favorite candy shops in Lexington. Yum!

As Krista’s closest friends came up to the podium to give their toasts to the new couple, everyone couldn’t help but get a bit teary-eyed.

It was not all tears, though. Initially starting with Krista and Clayton’s loving dance, then Krista did the bouquet toss. The room filled with shrieks and giggles as bridesmaids, friends, and family leaped to catch the flowers. The flowers broke apart on purpose, so everyone got a flower!

A & A DJ put a spin on the music to cap off the night. Friends and family gathered and whirled on the dance floor. Everyone had a fantastic time!

Sparkles All Around

As the wedding reception came to a close, it’s now time for the grand sparkler wedding send-off. Wedding guests made their way outside, passed around sparklers, and lit up the night.

It was a stunning sight! Sparkles of light magically followed the couple as they sashayed to their exit. It was a heartwarming moment where friends and family gathered side by side to send off the couple into their new life together.

The night calmed over the blue skies as we captured a time-lapse of the stars. The stars witnessed a poignant occasion of two people so much in love. A beautiful, meaningful farm wedding celebration, indeed!
